Mosquito Control Treatment

Mosquitoes can be a real nuisance, leaving itching bite marks and keeping us awake at night. The annoyance caused by the bites can be quite distressing predominantly for children. At worst, mosquitoes transmit a range of potentially fatal diseases. In India, the most prominent diseases spread by mosquitoes are malaria, dengue and Chikungunya as well as Japanese B encephalitis. The risk of mosquito-borne diseases is especially high in places with a high level of humidity. In the drier regions of India, mosquito infestation commonly peaks during and after the monsoon season. In the more tropic and humid regions, the peak of mosquito activity normally falls in the summers when high temperatures fasten the reproductive cycle of mosquitoes.
Let's look in details at mosquitoes!
Anopheles Mosquito
The growth from egg to adult is between 6-10 days. The female lays 60-150 eggs. Anopheles mosquitoes usually bite during the night and the day and can remain indoors or outdoors. They are major spreaders of Malaria.
Culex Mosquitoes
Culex mosquitoes are sources of Japanese B Encephalitis, also commonly known as brain fever. They bite at night and breed in polluted stagnant water, especially in drains.
Aedes Mosquitoes

Aedes mosquitoes are active during the day unlike the above types and they breed in clean water also. They are accountable for Chikungunya and Dengue. Their growth from egg to mosquito is fast only 6-8 days.

Life cycle and biology

Mosquitoes are very weak flyers. Only the female mosquito bites the public and feeds on human blood to lay eggs. An adult lay particularly 100-300 eggs. Some mosquitoes even lay and hatch eggs in standing water from rain. A temperature rises speeds mosquito reproduction. Mosquitoes live for less than two months and usually bother us is dawn and dusk. Adult mosquitoes seek shelter in the bush or thick weeds, caves, holes in the ground, hollow logs, or holes in trees. Mosquitoes find their prey through odors and heat detection. They detect the carbon dioxide we respire and our sweat odor.
